Founded in 1980 in Montreal by Sarah Barbieux, a theatrical artist of Romani origin (tzigane) born in Paris, Caravane still offers a presentation of the dream world and brings celebration wherever it goes.

Caravane is a multicultural family group composed of Sarah Barbieux, Sylvain Chiasson, Thaïs and Lénaïc Barbieux (Sarah’s childrens).

All the shows, animations and workshops are original, collective creations of CARAVANE ‘s artists. Together, they conceive, create, write, stage, direct, animate and interpret every production, without exception, according to the ancient traditions of imaginative and artistic performers (and all this without any grants!)

With its colourful, rhythmic, original and fantastic style, CARAVANE speaks to everyone without distinction and offers a memorable journey out of the ordinary.
